FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE + LED LIGHT THERAPY (50 MIN)
The appointment begins with a full intake to determine your skin concerns and goals of treatment. This is followed by balancing body and facial acupuncture points to support the skin and stimulate collagen. LED light therapy (optional) is then applied while you rest and let the needles work their magic.
FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE + LED LIGHT THERAPY + GUA SHA LIFT (75 MIN)
Gua Sha is added to facial acupuncture treatment to rejuvenate + sculpt the face or simply to melt facial tension and improve your glow.
After needles are taken out, facial Gua Sha will be done to smooth fine lines, sculpt and tone the face, drain lymph, ease muscle tension and reduce puffiness.
THE ALL-IN SIGNATURE SCULPT + LIFT FACIAL (90 MIN)
Our Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture or TMJ Disorder Acupuncture is paired with the Buccal Face Sculpting massage. Think: a facelift without surgery, but on a much deeper level. WHAT DOES COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE TREAT?

HOW DOES COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE WORK?
Cosmetic acupuncture works on two different levels. First, by moving the Qi + blood in your facial channels — you cannot have a glowing complexion when there is stagnation in these channels! As well, on a more surface level, the tiny needles create micro-trauma which signals the skin to increase collagen production as a healing mechanism. More collagen = more youthful looking skin.
WHAT IS GUA SHA?
It is a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) therapy in which a smooth-surfaced stone is glided along the skin to tone + sculpt facial muscles, drain lymphatic fluid and decrease tension. This then restores healthy flow of circulation (Qi + blood) for plump + glowing skin.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BOOKING?
If you are looking for any acupuncture to be done, I suggest booking 5 days prior to an event, in the rare case of light bruising. As well, come when you are able to go make-up free for a minimum of 4 hours after your appointment.
HOW MANY COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
This is a difficult question, as the answer will vary from person to person. Generally, 3-6 treatments are done (for those on a treatment plan) before re-evaluating. However, you will notice benefits from even just one treatment and are welcome to book as needed.
I GET BOTOX AND FILLERS - CAN I STILL GET FACIAL ACU, GUA SHA AND BUCCAL MASSAGE?
Yes! In fact, we recommend the “All-In” treatment to those who get regular Botox/filler a few days BEFORE their injectable appointment to ensure proper Qi + blood flow is still circulating to those “frozen” muscles and tissues. If this is not happening, the face will still lack the desired vitality many hope to achieve with injections, sometimes even more so as they are essentially “locking” the stagnation in. However, for those seeking treatment POST injection, we suggest waiting 3-5 weeks for facial treatments.
CAN I CLAIM FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE WITH MY BENEFITS?
Yes! Many extended health care plans will cover a certain portion or all of your acupuncture or cosmetic acupuncture treatment. Check with your provider for amount allotted per acupuncture session.
Note: Cosmetic acupuncture starts with points on the body, and comes with a wide variety of therapeutic health benefits. This is more than just a cosmetic treatment, and therefore qualifies under acupuncture benefits.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT DURING FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE?
Even though cosmetic acupuncture is used to treat the skin, it is a therapeutic treatment that is still traditional acupuncture. When you come in we will still do a full health intake, TCM diagnosis and acupuncture points on the body, similar to a regular acupuncture treatment. For this reason, it is the ultimate beauty/wellness pairing.
WHAT IS LED LIGHT THERAPY?
LED light has been proven to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the body which, in turn, helps to give skin a more full, tight appearance. By increasing the amount of collagen in the skin, LED light therapy can help to remove wrinkles, improve the appearance of age spots, minimize the appearance of scars, and help heal minor wounds. Elastin helps give skin elasticity or its ability to “bounce back”.
HOW DOES LED LIGHT WORK?
LEDs, or light emitting diodes, are able to transmit specific light frequencies and are used to produce either red light or blue light.
RED: are used to treat wrinkles, rosacea, sun damage, scars and broken capillaries. This helps to improve the overall uniformity of a person’s skin and gives the patient a healthy glow.
BLUE: are most commonly used to treat blemishes and other concerns caused from clogged pores.
